I contributed to the front-end development and ongoing maintenance of the Visit Lake Tahoe WordPress website, working closely with designers and developers to build new pages, implement custom functionality, and enhance the overall user experience. My role focused on translating designs into clean, responsive HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP while ensuring consistency across devices. I also helped troubleshoot issues, optimize site performance, and maintain a visually engaging, accessible, and user-friendly experience for travelers exploring Lake Tahoe.

My background in both UI design and front-end development allowed me to bridge the gap between design and functionality while working on the Visit Lake Tahoe WordPress website. Using Figma, I was able to accurately translate UI designs into responsive, pixel-perfect web experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. I focused on bringing designs to life through thoughtful transitions, subtle animations, and interactive elements that enhanced the overall user experience. Along with building new pages and custom functionality, I helped maintain and improve the website to ensure a seamless, visually engaging experience for visitors.
Mobile Design & WordPress Development
Creating a seamless mobile experience was a key focus of my work on the Visit Lake Tahoe website. Using Figma’s Auto Layout, responsive constraints, and Dev Mode, I translated UI designs into mobile-friendly layouts while maintaining consistency with the desktop experience. On the development side, I worked within WordPress using custom PHP templates, HTML, CSS media queries, and JavaScript to build responsive pages and interactive functionality. I also focused on optimizing navigation, touch-friendly elements, image scaling, and subtle animations to enhance usability on smaller screens. My experience in both design and development allowed me to accurately bring Figma designs to life while ensuring a smooth, engaging experience for visitors exploring Lake Tahoe on their phones.
