TRAVEL NEVADA

WEBSITE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT

I helped our agency secure the Travel Nevada website project by participating in early client discussions and technical planning. After winning the project, I worked with the team to plan the migration to WordPress, including content organization, site architecture, and how we would transition the existing website to the new platform. I was also involved in the initial development of the Travel Nevada Road Trips page, which highlighted scenic drives and destinations throughout the state. This was one of the first pieces of the redesign we brought to life.

NOBLE STUDIOS

NOBLE STUDIOS

spent a couple of years working as a web developer at Noble Studios, a digital marketing agency in Reno, Nevada. I was part of the Travel & Tourism team, which included developers, UI/UX designers, content strategists, and project managers. We worked together in small teams, or "pods," on websites for tourism and destination marketing clients. Working in this environment gave me experience with larger website projects, Agile development workflows, and collaborating directly with designers throughout the development process.

Front-End Development & Mobile UX

I worked directly with the UI/UX designer to turn her high-fidelity designs for the Travel Nevada Road Trips page into a fully responsive website. My role was to handle the front-end development, making sure the layouts, typography, imagery, and interactive elements matched the original designs as closely as possible. We went through several rounds of revisions to fine-tune spacing, layouts, and how different elements behaved across screen sizes. I also spent time refining the mobile experience, adjusting navigation, image sizing, and responsive layouts to make the page easier to use on phones and tablets. Throughout development, I focused on accessibility, performance, and writing clean code that would be easy to maintain.

WordPress Development & Team Collaboration

Beyond the Road Trips page, I worked with our development team to maintain and expand Travel Nevada and other WordPress websites. My responsibilities included building new pages, developing custom functionality, troubleshooting bugs, and implementing design updates. I also used Figma to reference design specifications and make sure the front-end code accurately reflected the approved layouts. We used Git to manage feature branches, review code, and merge updates, while Jira helped us organize tasks, track bugs, and manage sprint cycles. Working in this Agile environment gave me hands-on experience with collaborative development workflows, code reviews, and maintaining large WordPress websites over time.
